Holiday seasons, whether during the winter months or the summer months, can be disruptive for littles. They're staying up later than normal, eating different foods (sometimes extra sweets), receiving new gifts, being exposed to new people... And of course there's the lack of routine. But that's ok! That's what the holidays are for. Fun, family, and making memories.
But remember these tiny people need some adjustment time back to their "normal" days. so we want to:
-- Communicate transition time for activities
-- Accept that meltdowns could be more frequent and remain calm
-- Keep the day's schedule loose
-- Plan downtime after so many stimulating outings and events
-- And get outside for some fresh air and (hopefully) sunshine
